Trainee Installation Manager

City & County Graphics Ltd, Oxfordshire’s largest sign manufacturer, have a newly created career opportunity for a Trainee Installation Manager. We are looking for a motivated person to learn about how signs are installed, how to program workloads across our own fitting teams and outside contractors and to communicate effectively with them, and to understand how Health and Safety plays such a key part within the sectors that we operate.

We are looking for a person with good communication skills, with a positive work ethic, a great attitude to working as part of a team and a clean driving license would be a definite advantage as site visits and surveys will be commonplace (transport supplied).

Our work is typically signed off at the last minute, changes to the schedule are frequent and unforeseen obstacles can occur which means that this is a challenging role but ultimately very fulfilling. It is rarely a 9-5 job!

We will teach you about the scheduling programs that we use, the importance of time management and all other aspects of our installation requirements.

Project Manager

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain first class relationships with clients to obtain the information required for all their signage and marketing suite needs
• Effectively manage client projects from end to end, to time, to spec and to budget
• Brief Estimators clearly and effectively to cost jobs and create client quotations; cover when Estimators are off/on leave
• Brief Production, Studio and Installation teams effectively to manage projects
• Liaise tightly with Installations to ensure that all jobs are scheduled and prioritised appropriately to the client and our own internal needs; keep clients updated
• Liaise with design agencies, clients, sub-contractors and installers to get the job done
• Carry out site surveys and site visits as necessary
• Comply fully with Health & Safety directives, both clients’ and City & County’s

Artworker/Studio Operative

City and County Graphics Ltd are currently looking for an experienced Artworker/Studio Operative to work in our studio department. The successful candidate will be able to use Adobe illustrator / InDesign and Photoshop to a high level to set artwork ready for print and to visualise signs.

Prior experience within the printing industry would be beneficial but not essential.

Normal working hours would be Monday-Friday 8am – 4.30pm and occasional weekend work will be required. Candidates must also be flexible and willing as additional working hours may be needed.

Mobile Handyperson

City & County Graphics Ltd are currently looking for a Handyperson to help our team of Managers with small scale installation and snagging for both the signage and interior departments across the country. The position requires someone who has good DIY skills and is very forward thinking.

The role will include:

• Carrying out day to day maintenance and repairs, to a high standard.
• Differentiating between minor repairs and when more specialist skills are required.
• Following Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure works are completed in a safe working manner.
• Installation of small scale signage such as wall/window vinyl.

The required skills/experience for this role are:

• Range of practical skills including general maintenance and repairs
• Able to work individually and as part of a team.
• Customer focused at all times
• Confident in using various tools and equipment
• CSCS card desirable
• Knowledge of the housing industry would be beneficial but not essential.

Tools, equipment and company vehicle provided with fuel card.
